Deeds Not Words
The launch of the Deeds Not Words immersive drama by Digital Drama in Covent Garden on the 7th July 2017 also was the opportunity to launch the tour of the 3 community designed suffrage banners created within Covent Garden this Spring and Summer. The Banners include print work from St Mungo's residents, Dudley Court Sheltered Housing and St Josephs RC Primary School. Participants ranged from 11 years old to individuals in their 80's. The actual content design was decided through workshops with the Year 6 pupils after they visited the actual suffrage banners within the LSE library archives. The banners will be displayed in London this Summer at the LSE library, St Mungo's and the Camden Archives.
This Project focuses on the extraordinary Endell Street Military Hospital run sole by Women in the First World War.
