#100 Banners for #Vote100
Digital Drama has commissioned me to deliver workshops across London via Heritage project partners in the London Boroughs. I have been working with community groups from Croydon to Tottenham out to Ealing and over to the Museum of London. The Project is creating 100 banners in commemoration of the Representation of the People Act 1918 which started to expand suffrage to include women, in addition to a wider proportion of men.
The banners are made of fabric, and their design have one foot in the past and one foot in the present day with its ongoing issues of equality. On the 4th of March 'March 4 Women' will take place in London, we plan to have as many of the 100 banners there, marching together.
